David is passionate about the executive experience and the leaders who shape company
culture and work.
Executive leaders often find themselves stretching into big roles. David enjoys meeting executives
in those moments. As a result, after many years as an executive himself, David started his own executive development company and brands – The David Gunn Group, executiveDRUMTM and Executives: Ask YourselfTM. Through his work, David is committed to his mission of generating more human interaction at work and more effective executive leadership, leading to more authenticity and joy in the workplace.
Throughout his career, David has been fortunate to work with some of the world’s most admired brands in roles where he was given a ‘blank piece of paper’ and asked to create. This came to
life in the transformation of HR at Disney, the transformation of Bank of America Home Loans
in the financial crisis, and in his work at GE, SABMiller, and in consulting with PwC and McKinsey. These experiences, and the moments of coaching and collaborating with the C-suite over the years, catalyzed David to take big turns several times in his career.
David is a developer of talent, an entrepreneur, an executive coach, and an empathic
counselor. He looks forward to connecting through the work.

Raised in Philadelphia, David now lives in Los Angeles with his spouse, twin sons, and a couple of unruly golden retrievers.
